Organs of Interest in the Upper Midwest
We now have close to 1400 organs listed in the new TCAGO Organ List webpage. To look through the list, click on the link at the bottom of this page.

A couple of years ago I moved the information I had on the old TCAGO database and created a new webpage to be attached to our webpage. It gives you easier access to information and gave me more space for pictures, histories, and stories. Take a look at the organs you know. Is there anything you know or have that isn't there? Send it to me!

I'm taking a more historical approach to the listings. Plymouth Congregational in Minneapolis has six listings, one for each organ they built since the Civil War. Each one was a "state-of-the-art" instrument for that era. It's really interesting reading the specs. Several churches have multiple listings. If you have information on previous instruments for any of the listings, let me know.

I now have space for things like letters between organists. Check the listings for St Clement's Episcopal in St Paul which shows organist Jack Fischer and his thoughts on physically moving 16' Diapasons.

This is what I need from you: 1) Check the organs you know. Edit what I have or send me the info I need for a page. 2) I like to have name of the institution, address, photos of the exterior of the building, the main altar or presentation location, the pipe display, if any, and of the console (please remove the Kleenex box and organ shoes before you take the pic :-) Then the builder, number of manuals, stops, ranks, the action, notes, previous builder if it is a rebuild, web address of the institution, and the date the information was gathered. I'll take ANY or all of my wish list. If this is an organ that replaces a previous installation, give me as much info as you can on the previous organ.

I'm having fun with this project. Come on along!
