TCAGO Fall 2024 Pipedreams Organ Scholarships Auditions
The next Pipedreams Organ Scholarship Audition will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St Paul-Reformation Lutheran Church, 100 Oxford Street North in Saint Paul.
The application form for the audition must be received at the address on the form by Monday, September 9, 2024. Please make a note of the application deadline as it is not on the application forms.

The TCAGO Pipedreams Organ Scholarships were established by the chapter to honor the significant contributions Michael Barone has made to the organ world. The scholarships will be directed toward young students and adult members of TCAGO wishing to either begin or continue organ studies. The applicants are not required to have any previous organ experience.
TCAGO Pipedreams Organ Scholarship: Information for Students
Eligibility: Open to students in grades 7-12. Winners must reside in the Twin Cities or surrounding areas. Previous winners may reapply. The applicant must have the recommendation of their teacher (piano or organ).
Award: $500 award to be applied towards organ lessons. Scholarships are awarded twice yearly by audition. The $500 award is sent directly to the organ teacher, who must be a member of the TCAGO.
Please note: The winner is expected to purchase organ shoes and music as needed. The winner must also continue piano lessons during the period of the scholarship award.
To apply: Print out and complete the Application Form (below) and follow the instructions on the form for submitting it.
Audition: Keyboard competency is required. This may be at the piano or organ.
1. A Bach Invention or equivalent
2. A contrasting piece from the Classical or Romantic period
3. Perform a hymn of your choice with two contrasting verses
4. Sight-read a hymn chosen by the committee
5. A brief interview with the committee

TCAGO Pipedreams Organ Scholarship: Information for Adults
